Funding for skills training
The StrongerBC future skills grant (FSG) is open to British Columbians aged 19 years or older and covers up to $3,500 towards designated short-term skills training programs at public post-secondary institutions. Funding is limited and not guaranteed.
Eligible VIU programs, listed below, must be between September 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025. Requests for funding must be submitted by February 28, 2025. Applications will not be accepted after this time. Check the WorkBC eligibility criteria to find out if you qualify for funding.
Students can apply for the StrongerBC future skills grant online using your BC Services Card Account. If you need help with your BC Services Card Account, please contact the BC Services Card Help Desk.

Funding is limited and submitting an application does not automatically guarantee funding. Funding is subject to availability. Students interested in this funding must apply through the StrongerBC future skills grant first.
